Ames Associates provides professional wetland science services, including wetland delineation, functional assessment, and mitigation planning.

Wetlands are among the most valuable and productive ecosystems on earth. They provide important functions including flood control, water quality improvement, groundwater recharge, and wildlife habitat. New Hampshire has extensive wetland resources that are protected by state and federal regulations.

Our wetland scientists are trained in the identification and delineation of wetlands using the three-parameter approach (hydrology, hydric soils, and hydrophytic vegetation) as required by the Army Corps of Engineers and NHDES. We have extensive experience delineating wetlands in a wide range of conditions throughout New Hampshire.

In addition to wetland delineation, we provide wetland functional assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring services. Our goal is to help our clients understand and protect wetland resources while achieving their development objectives.
