Shoreland Permitting

Shoreland Permitting

Ames Associates has successfully obtained more shoreland permit approvals than any other firm in the State of New Hampshire since the adoption of the revised NH Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act in 2008.

The NH Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act (RSA 483-B) regulates development within 250 feet of the reference line of public waters. Any construction, excavation, or filling within this protected shoreland zone requires a permit from the NH Department of Environmental Services (NHDES).

Our experienced team has an in-depth understanding of the CSPA regulations and the NHDES permitting process. We work closely with our clients to develop project designs that meet regulatory requirements while achieving their goals.

We handle all aspects of the shoreland permitting process, from initial site assessment and project design through permit application preparation and agency coordination. Our track record of successful permit approvals speaks for itself.
